The Hughes Sport Foundation was established in memory of David and Kerris Hughes, by their daughters. The sports selected for support by the Foundation are those that David and Kerris were heavily involved in during their lives, as athletes and organisers David was a dedicated triathlete, competing as a veteran for both Wales and Great Britain all over the world at a variety of distances, including the Iron Man. He also founded Monmouth Tri Club which hosts an annual aquathon in the beautiful Wye Valley to raise money for the Foundation
As well as being a keen golfer herself, Kerris was county organiser for Monmouthshire Junior Girls Golf, and as such was involved in organising both Welsh Junior, County and local events.
